Hard to believe it’s been almost 50 years since I bought my first great dane-which was in 1965 from a sell or swap ad in the local paper, he cost a whopping $50 . - I learned a lot from that experience, a show dog he was not.
One day in 1968, upon arriving home from work, I found a lovely 4 mo old fawn girl from Von Riesenhof breeding laying under my kitchen table with a big red bow around her neck, - a gift from my now ex-husband. LOL--- oh what he started…..!!
I joined the local dane owners in starting a club, The Great Dane Club of Greater Denver and held several offices throughout the years. I have met some fantastic people along this journey and I am appreciative of all of them in some way or another.
I have produced many champions and top producers throughout the years and have owner handled most of my dogs to some fantastic wins and titles. I have been fortunate enough to be awarded some very nice wins at GDCA Nationals, several nice futurity wins, a top 20 winner, winners bitch, top breeder, top stud dog, top brood bitch, winning Best BBX and many other notable awards, - I have never taken these wins lightly and have strived to produce dogs to achieve these successes.
The top honor to date has been this one, being selected by the GDCA membership to judge the 2014 futurity. Thank you for this opportunity. I look forward to seeing all of the beautiful puppies that you breeders/owners have put your heart and soul into producing, owning and showing.
